Prevention and Community Services

COPE began as a small effort to prevent teen drug abuse in the late 1960’s. To date a community-based focus is maintained. Programs are offered to meet the community’s needs. Parenting skills development workshops are offered both on and off site. COPE provides an evidence-based substance abuse prevention curriculum for middle school students in several local communities. COPE staff participate in community presentations, health fairs and other events which support a positive health message.
